Recognizing that children are a precious gift from God and seeing our mission as being a helping partner to Christian families in the nurturing and training of their children, we prayerfully present the following admissions standards for Mooresville Christian Academy:
1. Believing that God has given parents the primary responsibility to instruct their children in love and the fear of the Lord, we perceive our mission to be one of reinforcing and supplementing the religious training given in the home. Therefore it is required that at least one parent (or guardian) by a professed Christian. Our Christian parents should be affiliated and in good standing with a local congregation.
2. Believing that God has given to the parents the responsibility of child discipline, we do not see as our purpose the task of bringing under control children who are in rebellion against parental authority.
3. While recognizing the worth and promise of all children, but further recognizing that we are not professionally trained or equipped to minister to children with certain medical needs or severe learning disorders, we may be unable to accept these precious children for admission.
4. All prospective new enrollees must present their standardized test scores from prior years. If test scores are unavailable, the student will be required to take a placement test to determine the appropriate grade level for the student.
5. Additionally, the admissions procedure requires the completion of a written application for each child and a family interview with one or both parents (or guardians). Prior to enrollment the parent(s) or guardian(s) with whom the student resides must sign the Parental Commitment form.
6. Students who are currently enrolled in Mooresville Christian Academy receive first priority for enrollment in the next school year followed by siblings of current students, then members of River Life Fellowship, then new students enrolling on a first come first serve basis.
7. Appropriate registration materials and fees must be submitted on or before the published deadline.
8. Mooresville Christian Acadmy does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, or national origin in the administration of its admission policies.
