Tuition Discounts: Tuition discounts will be needs-based. Any family desiring a discount in tuition rates must submit a written request to the administration prior to the start of the school year in September. Once the school year begins, there will be no more discounts permitted for that school year. Discounts provided for this school year are not automatically renewable for the next school year.
Checks or money orders should be made payable to Mooresville Christian Academy. Tuition will NOT be accepted in the form of cash, unless otherwise requested.
Seniors who take three or less classes during the school year will pay tuition of $2,250.00 yearly. This discounted price may not be used in conjunction with any other discount. Seniors who take four or more classes during the school year will enroll at normal tuition.
Tuition payments begin June 1st for each upcoming school year, to be paid in 12 monthly installments. Any student enrolling after June 1st will pay on a prorated, 10-month schedule, tuition beginning July 1st. Tuition is due on the first of every month. If tuition is not received by the 5th, a $15.00 per child late fee will be added to that month's payment. Our budget is based on your enrollment for one year. Signing the parental commitment form and financial contract will serve as a binding, one-year agreement that you will adhere to the standard of paying tuition, as well as an understanding of the early termination agreement that follows.
Early Termination
Understanding that extenuating circumstances arise without warning, we have added an early termination clause to this contract.
If anyone is not able to fulfill his or her obligation through the end of the year, they may buy out the contract by giving a thirty day, written notice, having ALL tuition paid to date, and paying a one-and-a-half month fee at the end of the thirty days.
This will enable a family to terminate the lease early without having to pay through the entire year, while at the same time enabling MCA to recoup some of the income that it anticipated when determining the tuition.
Procedure for Late Payment of Tuition
As of December 2008 It is the MCA Board Policy that:
If tuition payments reach 60 days past due, student will no be allowed to attend class until the account is made current or mutually agreeable arrangements are made in writing with the MCA Board.
The following outlines the process of enforcing this policy.
MONTH 1
1st - Tuition is due.
5th - $15.00 late fee applied.
15th- The financial office sends letter to parents requesting payment of late tuition. The financial office then forwards this information to the Board.
MONTH 2
5th - A second letter is sent from the Board Chairperson reminding the parents of the late payment policy and requesting they respond in writing to the Board Chairperson their intent of payment. The parents have the option to personally meet with the Board to discuss their contract to pay. Within 5 days after receiving the letter or meeting with the Board, the parents will be notified in writing of the Board's decision.
Last Week of the Month - If no response from the parents is received or no agreement made, a final letter will be sent to parents stating that the student will not be allowed to attend school as of the 1st of the next month and transcripts will be held until the financial agreement is met. |
