Christian Character Expectations
Courtesy
Students must respect the rights and property of others. They should be courteous and display respect and obedience to all members of the faculty and staff.
Honesty
Cheating, lying, stealing and plagiarism will not be tolerated. Participation in such activities may be grounds for suspension or expulsion. Partificpation in any kind of illegal activity may be grounds for expulsion.
Clean Speech
Inappropriate, vulgar, or obscene language is unbecoming of a Christian and may be grounds for suspension. (Clean speech is expected not only in oral conversations and interactions, but also in all telecommunications and/or forms of written communications.)
Sexual Purity
Involvement in sexual impurity is grounds for expulsion.
Respect
As students grow spiritually, they should become individuals who put others first, who are tolerant of those who are different, and who look for opportunities to serve. All students will respect the time it takes our maintenance staff to clean the school and will not litter or vandalize the school. Students will respect the endeavors of their instructors and not selfishly waste classroom time. They will respect the right of their fellow students to benefit from the instruction being offered and not rudely and inappropriately interrupt it.
Submission to Authority
The students at MCA are expected to submit to authority, obey teachers and staff members, and obey school rules. They shall show respect to the administration and shall seek the counsel of the administration if they do not have a clear understanding of the difference between their personal "rights" versus their personal "responsibilities." A rebellious attitude may be grounds for suspension or possible expulsion. |
